Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Joyté, Lda. (“Joyté”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use the Joyté mobile application (the “App”) for iOS and Android.

2. Who the App is for

The App is intended for business clients of Joyté and their authorized users. Access is provided by invitation. The App is not directed at children under 16.

3. Data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, phone number (optional), and password (stored hashed on our servers).
  • Business relationship data: company name, tax ID, address, and services linked to your Joyté client account.
  • Billing data: invoices, amounts, due dates, payment status, and related documents synced from our billing systems.
  • Alerts and notifications: in-app alerts about invoices and services, and push notification content.
  • Push token: a device token used to deliver push notifications via Expo Push Notification Service.
  • Device and session data: device platform (iOS/Android), login timestamps, and session activity for security and support.
  • Local storage on your device: authentication token stored securely (SecureStore) to keep you signed in.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data through the App.

4. Why we use your data

  • Provide access to your account, invoices, services, and alerts.
  • Authenticate users and keep the App secure.
  • Send push notifications you enable about invoices and account events.
  • Provide customer support and comply with legal obligations.

Legal bases (GDPR): contract performance, legitimate interests (security, service improvement), and consent where required (e.g. push notifications).

5. Where data is processed

Data is processed on servers operated by Joyté (including Laravel Cloud infrastructure in the EU/EEA where applicable). API endpoint: https://joyte.ch/api/v1.

6. Sharing with third parties

  • Expo / Expo Push Notification Service — to deliver push notifications.
  • Email providers — to send account invitations and service emails.
  • Billing integrations — to sync invoice data for your organization.
  • Infrastructure providers — hosting and operations required to run the service.

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Retention

We retain data while your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and security purposes. Access logs and notification logs may be kept for a limited period for auditing and support.

8. Your rights

Under applicable law (including GDPR), you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Contact us at geral@joyte.pt. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD).

9. Account deletion

To delete your App account and associated personal data, email geral@joyte.pt from your registered address. We will process verified requests within 30 days. Some data may be retained where required by law (e.g. invoicing records).

10. Security

We use HTTPS, access controls, hashed passwords, and secure token storage on devices. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we work to protect your data proportionally.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
